Patrick P. Salisbury

Mr. Salisbury is a founding partner of Salisbury & Ryan and has practiced law in the United States, Europe and the Middle East for over 20 years. Mr. Salisbury’s practice focuses on commercial transactions involving a wide variety of matters including acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex contractual arrangements of all types. Mr. Salisbury has extensive experience in negotiating, structuring and documenting complex commercial transactions and financings, including cross-border transactions involving numerous countries.

Mr. Salisbury also has extensive commercial litigation and arbitration experience and has represented commercial clients in litigation and arbitrations throughout the United States and in numerous foreign countries. He represents public and private companies in disputes before the American Arbitration Association and various international arbitral bodies including the ICC, LCIA, ICSID, UNCITRAL and the International Centre in Vienna. He also represents clients in proceedings before governmental agencies including the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Transportation and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Prior to forming Salisbury & Ryan, Mr. Salisbury was a partner in a major New York law firm and lived in and practiced law in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Saudi Arabia.

Andrew J. Ryan

Mr Ryan, co-founder of Salisbury & Ryan, is a corporate attorney with an extensive commercial experience extending across a wide range of industries including basic industrial telecommunications and media, technology, financial services and electronic commerce.

Mr. Ryan has advised numerous U.S. and foreign clients in connection with acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, licensing and other cooperative arrangements, debt and equity financings, restructurings, foreign and direct investments, intellectual property matters, international trade regulation and investment matters and antitrust counseling.

Mr. Ryan has assisted clients in regulatory matters before numerous agencies in both the U.S. and abroad and has extensive commercial litigation and arbitration experience.

Mr. Ryan’s clients cover a broad spectrum ranging from foreign entities with business activities in the U.S. to publicly traded international and domestic companies and privately held businesses seeking venture capital for their continued growth.

Robert D. Kraus

Mr. Kraus is “Of Counsel” to the firm of Salisbury & Ryan LLP, where he handles complex commercial litigation matters and has an active labor and employment law practice. Mr. Kraus has litigated extensively in both state and federal court, as well as before various administrative and self-regulatory agencies, and arbitration tribunals. He is a frequent lecturer and author on various employment law topics, and has appeared as a commentator on Court TV. He is also an active participant in the American Bar Association’s Employee Rights and Responsibilities subcommittee and the National Employment Lawyer’s Association.

Prior to joining Salisbury & Ryan, Mr. Kraus had been Director of Legal and Business Affairs at CBS/Fox Video, a large multi-national company with operations around the globe. As such, Mr. Kraus had primary responsibility for handling the legal affairs relating to the company’s wholly owned subsidiaries in eight foreign countries and its licensees in over 35 foreign countries.
